UK-BASED DATA ANALYST JOB POSTING (Full time)

Data lovers, unite! Lumerate is searching for an awesome UK-based candidate to welcome to our Zymewire Data Team as our newest Data Analyst! This person is passionate about the intersection of life sciences and technology. Although our company is based in Toronto, we're scouring the UK to find someone who is excited by the opportunity to work remotely Monday-Friday, from 8:30AM- 4:30PM (GMT Time). We are well-positioned to hire a new Data Analyst to help us extend our reach and impact even further.

All About you:

You have an educational background in life sciences, some life sciences work experience and ALSO have an interest in data management and process optimization. You are meticulous in your work, take pride in the quality of it and consider yourself above average when it comes to your attention to detail. You excel when it comes to digging for information online. During projects you’ve worked on in the past, you enjoyed the process of uncovering new information more than the writing and the preparation of the report itself. You enjoy working in team environments, but you will be comfortable and highly focused working independently/remotely throughout the day. While you are creative and full of ideas, you will also be happy with some routine throughout the day. You’re someone that appreciates the benefits of being able to maintain a healthy work/life balance.

The Data Analyst’s day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Reading industry news and updates from the pharma/biotech industry
  • Preparing, curating, and publishing pharma/biotech information for Zymewire users in a timely manner during specified hours of the business day while maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Maintaining and updating our database of companies, ensuring we have the best coverage of the pharma/biotech industry and the most accurate data possible
  • Assisting other members of the Zymewire data team with data projects
  • Contributing ideas to help improve efficiencies for the data team

More about you:

  • You’re available to work remotely Monday-Friday, from 8:30AM- 4:30PM GMT
  • You have an undergraduate degree in life sciences (biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy) and have at least 1 year of related industry work experience.
  • You have some knowledge of the pharmaceutical/drug development/medical device industry as a whole (although direct experience in the field isn't necessary)
  • You’re curious about the intersection of biology and technology
  • You have meticulous attention to detail, so you’ll notice that we’d like you to name the landmark located at these coordinates 48.855657361311536, 2.3155630845831277 in your cover letter
  • You have strong familiarity with Excel and Google Sheets

Location: This is a remote position. Our new Data Analyst can live and work anywhere in the United Kingdom, provided they are legally entitled to do so.

Salary: 2230 GBP/month

Start Date: May, 2024 (flexible based on the successful candidate)
