About the Role:

As a Technical Product Specialist, you will be the bridge between our product, our customers, and our internal teams. You will report into the Data Team manager as you become a deep expert in our product. You will use your knowledge to optimize configurations and ensure seamless customer experiences. You'll work closely with the Zymewire customer success, data, product manager and sales teams to understand customer needs, translate them into actionable product changes, and provide higher tier technical assistance to the rest of the team. This role will be a strong fit for someone technical with an interest in product management and data, but who prefers to be working on customer-related puzzles.


What you'll be responsible for:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our product and client needs
  • Analyze customer requests and data to determine optimal product configurations
  • Manage and implement product configurations and new features for client accounts
  • Make informed decisions on data and configuration changes, balancing customer needs with product strategy and team resources
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting of select product features to customer success and sales teams
  • Participate in product design projects at the wider Lumerate level
  • Participate in new sales and expansion meetings to showcase added-value functionality
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs


What we’d love to see in your work history

Core Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in a scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, bioinformatics)
  • At least 1 year experience working in the biotech/life sciences industry
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex software systems
  • Familiarity with CRMs (eg. Salesforce)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least 4 years experience working with SaaS products
  • Canadian Work Authorization

Preference will be given to candidates with the following

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as mixpanel
  • Familiarity with product management principles

Location: Work remote, or hybrid from our laid-back office (located in Toronto's Junction Triangle on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays). The working hours for this position must follow any timezone between Eastern Standard Time (EST) and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).


Salary: Canada: $85,000-$92,000 CAD per year
UK: £45,000 - £49,000 per year
*Other (compensation will be aligned with local market standards)
